Session Times
We are open for 30 hours per week during Gloucestershire County Countil term-time (38 weeks/year)
Our session times are:
Monday**: 9.00am - 3.30pm **
Tuesday: 9.00am - 3.30pm
Wednesday: 9.00am - 3.30pm
Thursday: 9.00am - 3.30pm
Friday: 9.00am - 1.00pm
Morning sessions are 09.00-12.00pm, or 1.00pm if your child is staying for lunch.
Afternoon sessions are 12.30pm-3.30pm.
Children aged 2-3 (i.e. those with at least another full year until they start school) are offered morning sessions only to begin with, which can be increased over time. Our children are so busy that we find a morning session is enough, particularly if they're still napping. Children aged 2-3 are welcome from Tuesday-Friday**.
We have a limit of four 2 year-olds per session, with one member of staff designated to them to ensure the highest adult-to-child ratio for our youngest children.
Children aged 3-4 (i.e. those starting school the following September) can come in up to full-time (30 hours per week) and use all of their government-funded hours.
**Our Monday session is for final year children only, as we take them to Nature School at Tutshill School. For more information on Nature School, please click here.

Fees
From January 2024, our fees will be £7.50 per hour, to be paid monthly, and we accept funding for children from England and Wales.
We charge a small contribution (of £1 per morning/afternoon session or £2 per day) towards the healthy snacks that the children enjoy together, which is billed every half term.
Tutshill Community Preschool aims to provide clear and flexible payment options for those who use its services whilst ensuring the preschool remains sustainable for future children of Tutshill and the surrounding area.
If you have any questions regarding funding or payment, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Funding
We accept funding from both the English and Welsh governments for up to 30 hours per week. Most of our children receive funding of some kind, and that pays part or all of their fees, depending on how many hours they're entitled to. Unlike many other settings, we do not place any restrictions on how you use your funding.
If you have any questions regarding funding, please email preschoolaccounts@talktalk.net and Sue, our financial administrator, will be happy to help.

Wrap-around and Holiday Care
We understand that, for some families, our opening hours may be restrictive. As a Pre-School in the truest sense of the word - to prepare children for school - our opening hours are in line with school hours, but we realise that for our working families, this may not provide enough care.
Following a consultation with our families, we have partnered with Mandy & Michelle, a trusted and experienced mother-daughter childminding service based less than 5 minutes (on foot, at a 3-year-old's pace!) from Pre-School. They’re open from 7am to 6pm, providing breakfast, lunch (if children are there during the day) and a cooked tea, and can drop children at Pre-School and collect them at the end of their session. They also operate during school holidays, where hours can be extended.
Mandy & Michelle have looked after Pre-School children for a number of years and we have a good working relationship with them. If this is something that may help your family, please contact them directly on 01291 630194 or 07717 721713, or by emailing Michelle.l.c@hotmail.co.uk.
